Practice of Khun Ekachai Laima

Founded by Ekachai Laima. Ardec provided architectural service for this region for more than 50 years. From his first house project before graduated, the name Ardec has been used since then.
In creating so called ‘ Tropical contemporary archicture’ movement in South East Asia with the idea of living with nature inside and out and plasticity in generating fluidity in function. His design become utterly symbolic for the era despite the willing of the pre-made factory-like style of contemporary architecture.

From National science museum to the Army club and to many residences emerged, Ekachai never stop seeking a possibility to create architecture to achieve the physic possibility and to embrace the monsoon climate that we are live in.

This year at his seventies, we are here to celebrate the establishment and together archive the selected works of Ardec.
